Local reports say the thugs stormed the complex in anticipation of the arrival of lawmakers who are loyal to Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.

Ondo State Pastor Of Church Sotitobire Sentenced To Life Imprisonment
Justice Olusegun Odusola of the Ondo State High Court has sentenced the founder of the church Sotitobire Praising Chapel , Pastor Samuel Babatunde, popularly known as Alfa Babatunde, to life imprisonment over the disappearance of a one-year-old boy, Gold Kolawole who went missing within his church premises.
Gold Kolawole was declared missing November 10, 2019, during a church service at the children’s section of Sotitobire Praying Ministry which is located at Oshinle Quarters in Akure, the state capital.
The convicted clergyman was arrested leading to public uproar alongside seven other members of the church and were all arraigned before a magistrate court on six counts.
The matter was later transferred to the state High Court.

Man bags four months in jail for obtaining $5,700 gift cards by fraud
Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, on Tuesday, October 6, convicted and sentenced Damilare Tolu Ogunleke, pictured above, to four months in prison for internet fraud.
The convict was prosecuted by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on amended three-count charge for obtaining gift cards worth $5,700 USD (Five Thousand, Seven Hundred United States Dollars) by fraud, contrary to Section 419 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 38, Laws of Oyo 2000.
A statement released by the antigraft agency states that one of the charges read:
“That you Damilare Tolu Ogunleke (‘m’) sometime in the year 2019, at Ogbomosho, Oyo State, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, with intent to defraud, obtained gift cards worth $5000 (Five Thousand United States of America Dollars) from one Porter Pattern by falsely representing to him that you are a female and other pretences, which you knew to be false.”
He pleaded guilty to all the charges upon which prosecution counsel, Lanre Abdulrasheed, prayed the court to convict and sentence him accordingly, while his counsel, Tunde Olupona, informed the court that his client had made full restitution to his victim and urged the court to temper justice with mercy.
Apart from the prison term, Ogunleke was ordered to restitute his victim the sum of $1, 042 (One Thousand and Forty-two United States Dollars), and would also forfeit his Lexus IS350, a phone and an iPad to the federal government.
The convict was arraigned on September 28, 2020.

IGP orders Assistant Inspectors-General and state Commissioners of Police to arrest and dismiss policemen who violate rights of citizens
Assistant Inspectors-General in charge of zonal commands and state Commissioners of Police have been ordered by the Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed to arrest, detain and dismiss policemen who violate the rights of the citizens.
In the memo dated October 5, 2020 and titled, ‘Order and directives: Restrictions on the operations of F-SARS, SARS, IRT, STS, state anti-kidnapping units and other special units under any nomenclature that operates in mufti across all formation, zones and state commands’, AIGs and CPs were further directed to charge errant policemen after being indicted in an orderly room trial.
It read;
"Any police personnel that, henceforth, abuses his or her powers in a manner that degrades, endangers or threatens the lives and other fundamental rights of the citizens shall be promptly arrested, processed through our internal disciplinary machinery, and if found culpable, shall be dismissed from service.
“In addition, such personnel could be charged in consonance with their level of criminal liability in the instance.
“Any personnel of the special units found violating the order must be arrested and escorted to the Force headquarters for appropriate actions. Weekly update on this operation must be forwarded to the office of the Inspector-General of Police for review and appropriate directives.
"The unprofessional activities of some special operatives had continued to drag the Force into acts that pit us against the citizens that we were engaged, paid and statutorily obligated to serve and protect.”
The IGP who also directed the CP X-Squad, Force Provost Marshall and IGP Monitoring Unit to immediately coordinate and deploy joint teams to enforce the order across all the 36 state commands and the Federal Capital Territory, noted that some policemen have been violating citizens’ rights in utter disregard for consistent warnings, previous orders, their professional training, international protocols, constitutional dictates, force policies, and ethical standards.
The Force Accountability Policy which holds officer professionally and criminally liable for the consequences of their actions was re-emphasized in the memo.
