Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the abduction of over 300 students from the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State, last Friday December 11.

HumAngle reports that in a 4 minutes 28 seconds audio released on Monday night December 14, the leader of the deadly terror group, Abubakar Shekau, said contrary to claims made in some quarters, it is yet to make any demands.

“What happened in Katsina was done to promote Islam and discourage un-Islamic practices as Western education is not the type of education permitted by Allah and his Holy Prophet.

They are also not teaching what Allah and his Holy Prophet commanded. They are rather destroying Islam. It may be subtle, but Allah the Lord of the skies and earths knows whatever is hidden. May Allah promote Islam. May we die as Muslims.”

In a nutshell, we are behind what happened in Katsina,” HumAngle quotes him as saying

A top commander of the sect also dismissed claims it has made any demands.

According to commander;

“The only time we spoke with the parents was to warn them to tell the military to desist from making any attempts to forcefully rescue the boys,”

Uganda has been discriminatory towards Nigerians - Nigerian lady recounts

A Nigerian lady has accused the Ugandan state of being discriminatory against Nigerians, amid the standoff sparked by the arrest of Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems after their performance in the country.

Recounting how she was denied work visa, @politicofareeda alleged that Ugandan authorities held her passport for 7 months because of an appeal. She added that she was given options of canceling her appeal and exiting the country for good, or find another Nigerian to submit their passport for insurance.

The Twitter user also recalled how her lawyer called her a "cunt and bitch" after refusing to pay a bribe.

She tweeted;

I lived in Uganda for a year. The state is very discriminatory towards Nigerians no be today. After denying me a work visa(first time they ever did for the organization I worked for, my predecessors were American/Canadian), they kept my passport for 7 months because of appeal.

I needed to travel for some things and they said my choices were to cancel my appeal and exit the country for good, or find another Nigerian to submit their passport for insurance. They also asked for 800,000 UGX bribe. I refused and my "lawyer" called me a bitch and cunt.

Got so depressed I quit my job(2 year contract turned to 1). Cancelled the appeal and they carried me in an immigration vehicle and escorted me all the way to passport control before they handed my passport to me. It looked like I was being deported even though I wasn't. I cried.

So yeah. Uganda is terrible to us. I have more east african terrible treatment stories but Uganda definitely took the cake.

Strike: We are still consulting and no decision has been reached yet - ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU says it is still having consultations on the next line of action it would take concerning the offers made by the Nigerian government for it to end its eight-month strike.

The ASUU President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, stated this in a chat with newsmen on Tuesday, December 1.

“We have what the government is offering and have transmitted the same to our members nationwide and we are consulting on what the next line of action will be. You know a tree does not make a forest and our union is democratic in nature and practice.

As for how long the consultation would take, I cannot say but it may go beyond this week. Whatever we decide on is definitely going to be in the national interest, the interest of our children, the interest of our members, and the good of all.”

Recall that last week, the Federal Government pledged to pay N40 billion as the Earned Allowance and N30bn for the revitalization of the university system bringing the total payment to N70 billion. The government has also agreed to settle the arrears of salaries of the lecturers before December 31.

The government also accepted the demand by the ASUU that they are exempted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System pending the approval of their proposed payment system, the University Transparency, and Accountability Solution.

'I won't resign'- Zinedine Zidane insists after Shakhtar Donetsk complete shock 2-0 win over Real Madrid

Real Madrid head coach, Zinedine Zidane, has insisted that he will not resign, despite another poor performance from his side in a 2-0 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night, December 1, 2020.

Real Madrid's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League last 16 are now in doubt after the match completed a shocking win for the Ukranians over Madrid, weeks after losing 3-2 at home to Shakhtar.

Zidane could be asked by the Madrid hierarchy if results don't improve with Madrid now having lost three of their last five matches.

But he has bullishly said he will not be stepping down.

“I am not going to resign – not at all," he said following Tuesday's defeat.“We have always had delicate moments. It is true that it is a bad streak in terms of results, but we must continue. Today was a final, we prepared very well, but we know there is a game to go and we have to win and that's it."

“I believe in the players and of course I have strength. The other day against Alaves we did not deserve to win but today we did. There is no choice but to work and continue so that the good results return."

After their defeat to Shakhtar, Madrid have conceded nine goals in five Champions League group-stage games, their worst defensive record at this stage in the competition’s history.

But Zidane is optimistic.

“It is a difficult moment but I am convinced that we are going to bring out our character because we have to win the next game,"

"I am convinced that we can do it." he said

Donald Trump has raised more than $170 million since Election Day from supporters by pushing election fraud claims - New report

Donald Trump has raised more than $170 million since Election Day from supporters by pushing election fraud claims - New report

US leader, Donald Trump has raised more than $170 million since Election Day from his supporters by pushing allegations that the election he lost to Joe Biden was rigged, according to a new report by the Washington Post.

According to the report, the huge funds flowed into Trump's joint fundraising committee in less than four weeks after his campaign made fundraising solicitations to his supporters, urging them to donate to an "Election Defense Fund" as the President kept tweeting about a stolen election.

The report also adds that a large share of the funds have ended the Trump campaign's debt and will help fund the President's future political operation as he has no plans to retire politically yet, with a 2024 White Houss sting operation being envisioned.

Less than a week after Election Day, Trump launched The Save America political action committee, meant to fund his post-White House political life.

In an earlier report, The Washington Post first reported that Trump's post-election fundraising had topped $150 million.

A campaign adviser who spoke anonymously to the publication said the fundraising is a big indication that Trump "isn't going anywhere."

The adviser said there are plans for Trump to do some extensive traveling post-presidency, including trips overseas to maintain his visibility.

In recent weeks, Trump's campaign has sent hundreds of fundraising pitches claiming electoral fraud and then asking Trump supporters to sign petitions to "demand a fair election."

Another fundraising pitch sought "$5 IMMEDIATELY to DEFEND the Election from the Radical Left."

In all, the campaign has sent 400 fundraising emails and another 125 texts between 11 p.m. on election night and early Tuesday morning, December 1,2020.

Two states President-elect Joe Biden won by narrow margins -- Arizona and Wisconsin -- on Monday, certified their election results, affirming Biden's victory. Trump's own appointed Attorney General Will Barr also stated on Tuesday that the DOJ and Homeland Security have not seen any evidence of fraud to back Trump's claims of electoral fraud.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora, the Chief Executive Officer of Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Meta, Dr. Adedamola Dada, commended the company for instituting such a noble initiative and also appreciated the contribution of medical laboratory scientists who have continued to be a strong component of the health care system in Nigeria.

Update: Football legend, Diego Maradona fell and hit his head before he died and was then left alone ‘without help’ for 3 days, his nurse claims

Update: Football legend, Diego Maradona fell and hit his head before he died and was then left alone ?without help? for 3 days, his nurse claims

Football legend, Diego Maradona reportedly suffered a head injury after a fall at his home a week before he died from a heart attack but was never taken to the hospital.

Italian newspaper La Repubblica claim that the Argentine icon who had only recently had surgery on his brain to remove a blood clot, was not taken for a scan after falling and hitting his head at home.

A lawyer representing a nurse who worked for Maradona is reported to have said: 'Maradona fell to the ground seven days before his death. He fell and hit his head but they didn't take him to the hospital for an MRI or a CT scan.'

The shocking revelation comes as Maradona's personal doctor Leopoldo Luque is being probed over medical negligence as police launch an investigation into his death.

The report also confirmed speculation that Maradona was alone in his house in Buenos Aires when he died from a heart attack aged 60.

An autopsy report said he died in his sleep after suffering heart failure. Medics also detected dilated cardiomyopathy, a medical condition in which the heart muscle becomes weakened and enlarged and cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body.

The same nurse's lawyer also said that she had spoken with Maradona on the Friday before his death but was fired on Saturday.

According to her lawyer, she remained at the request of Maradona's entourage to administer his medication but was no longer taking his blood pressure or controlling him.

On Sunday, police raided the home of Maradona's physician Luque and investigators are looking into all the medical staff involved with his care after his daughters Dalma and Giannina gave statements questioning whether the medication their father was receiving was appropriate.

Repubblica are also reporting that documents have emerged showing that Dr. Cosachov had requested 24-hour specialist and nursing assistance for the former Argentina star before his death but Luque didn't not arranged for that to happen.

On Monday Luque addressed these claims and told reporters that Maradona was 'unmanageable' and should have been sent to rehab.

He said: 'I was shocked when police turned up at my door. I'm going to co-operate fully.

'I know what I did and what I did was for Diego's benefit until the last moment. I did the best I could.

'I feel terrible because a friend died. I don't blame myself for anything. It's very unfair what's happening.

'I didn't see Diego's daughters a lot but the rest of his family, his siblings and his nephews adore me.

'Someone is trying to find a scapegoat here when I don't see one anywhere.

'We all did the best we could with Diego.'
